Life is silly sometimes. Sillyness is harmless but sometimes its not. For instance, there have been some silly posts on this blog as of lately. That is the harmless kind of sillyness. But in another example; sometimes I do silly things and they turn out to have a huge effect on the well being of myself or others. Sometimes both.

I guess I don’t really know what I’m getting at here. I guess I just want people to know that I’m aware of my own silliness.

Fun with Roommates volume 2(pic)

A while back, my roommate left some chocolate cake mix out in the middle of the dining room. I guess she was planning on baking a cake and then realized she was missing some vital ingredient…. or maybe she just plain forgot.

On one of my random cleaning spurts, I decided to rid the place of all it’s dirty dishes. The chocolate cake mix had been out for a few days now. It had crusted up all along the edges of the bowl and the mixture was getting really thick now. This seemed like another one of those fun with roommates kind of opportunities.

After I poured the cake mix out in the toilet I had a really hard time getting the leftover mix off of the bowl. I was getting pretty frustrated since this mixing bowl was all that stood between me and a relatively spotless kitchen.

Summer festival time again

Today is July 7th 2007. 07.07.07 - Supposedly the luckiest day of the year. I am currently missing out on some ginourmous events. Aside from experiencing CTV’s broadcast of Live Earth from the quality standard of northern Ontario bush cable, I think I may have picked a bad year to leave Iroquois Falls.

There are two really great summer festivals in Iroquois Falls. Number 1 being the Porquis Blues Festival and, sitting at a not so distant 2, is Iroquois Falls Summer Paperfest.

Today the 10th annual Porquis Blues Festival is officially underway. The 10th anniversary is a pretty big deal. This will be the first in 5 years that I have missed.
