Have you ever found yourself applying techniques or ideas that you picked up from designing?
I was redoing my resume recently and I was having some trouble getting my word processor to do what I wanted. Suddenly it hit me. Why don’t I just code my resume with XHTML and CSS? So I did. And believe me, it went much smoother after that. Once the initial tables and such were laid out, I just had to copy, paste, and update the content of my out-of-date resume into the feilds.
I was pretty impressed with myself, then I started wondering what other aspects of my life has it infiltrated. Whats next?
It looks like OJ Simspon’s If I did it will be published after all. The goldman family fought him in court to prevent him from benefiting from the book. Proceeds are said to be going to the Ron Goldman foundation for Justice. Which is a heck of a lot better than in OJ’s pocket. I hope Gene Simmons doesn’t sue me for this post.
Why is it the credit card companies love students so much? Could it be they drop us these applications for thousand dollar limit credit cards just as our cash heap from our student loan runs out for a reason?
Its so easy to sunk financially when you are in school. Most creditors and taxers can smell you learning from miles away.
Speaking from the point of view of the college student that I am; Words like debt consolidation and secured loans just plain freak us out. They just give us the willies. Its like being a freshman filling out your mandatory budget sheet all over again.
