Halifax schools outlaw dancing

Its all very ‘Footloose’. And Kevin Bacon gave me the creeps since I was 6. Halifax high schools are cuting out school dances because administrators claim they are becoming “booze-fueled grope-fests”. Now I’m wodering, when the hell was any public event not such a thing? Isn’t that the very reason we humans socialize to begin with?
Now I admit I have been to a very fair share of high school dances. I prefered to dance to a different kind of music at that age. But I can tell you that I was never feuled by anything other than booze! How the hell else do you convince yourself that going to a high school dance will do you any good? The one cool part about this that I can totally side with is the Principals’ belief that other events like live music and stuff don’t have these problems. It would be sweet if high schools all over Canada started adopting the idea of having live bands at school functions.
Marathon of dope

I’ve been living life in the real world for a few days. I don’t think I care for it much. I have, however, taken a little time to think up a way to enrich your sad internet lives. Having recently landed myself temporary possesion of the Star Wars sextology (is that a word?). I sat through the newly digitized version of episodes’ 4 to 6 for the billionth time, then once more with the director’s commentaries on. I also invoked the awesome episode 3 where, as I like to call it, all the Disney dies out of the series. I didn’t have the stomach for episode’s 1 and 2 just yet. But I plan, within the next few days, to sit through the entire 6 movies uninterrupted and document my progress. Will I make it through alive? Will I eternally curse myself to acne and living in my parents basement? Will my girlfriend leave me for Boba Fett? Will Needless Productions turn into a Star Wars chat room that frequently becomes involved with flaming sessions with trekkies.org? Only time will tell. Keep checking back for the conclusion.
